ScreamingCobra is an application for remote vulnerability discovery in ANY UNKNOWN web applications such as CGIs and PHP pages. Simply put, it attempts to find vulnerabilities in all web applications on a host without knowing anything about the applications. Modern CGI scanners scan a host for CGIs with known vulnerabilities. ScreamingCobra is able to 'find' the actual vulnerabilities in ANY CGI, whether it has been discovered before or not.

Changes: Several bug fixes, support for adding attacking techiques and a Windows binary has been added.

Pdump is a sniffer written in perl which dumps, greps, monitors, creates, and modifies traffic on a network. It combines features from tcpdump, tcpkill, ngrep, tcptrace, dsniff (and its webspy and urlsnarf), pfilt, macof, and xpy. It is able to do passive operating system detection/fingerprinting and can also watch packet streams and then create it's own spoofed packets to hijack or kill TCP connections. It understands tcpdump-like and perl-like syntax and allows easy modifications via a plug-in system. The packet display is easily configurable. Man page available here.

Changes: New stable release! Added almost 600 new fingerprints for the -x option, much better password sniffing library along with new password sniffing plugs for the web, fixed a few bugs, added new protocol sniffing, added advancements to other protocols, and added new methods for decoding packets.

Changes: Passive operating system detection/fingerprinting similar to siphon has been added, added recognition of df (don't fragment) and tos flags, added an implementation tcpkill from dsniff which is able to kill any open TCP connection, non-promiscuous mode sniffing, and now uses the pdump::Sniff module for packet creation and sniffing.

Changes: Sniffed TCP packets now display the sequence number as tcpdump would do, and the "empty packet" bug with the ngrep-clone option has been fixed. Fixes for a few systems regarding unused perl modules have been included.
