The vulnerability is caused due to the LunchApp.APlunch ActiveX Control control including the insecure "Run()" method, which executes an arbitrary executable file taken as argument. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary local programs with parameters on a user's system via a specially crafted web site. Successful exploitation requires that the user is e.g. tricked into visiting a malicious web site. The vulnerability is reported in version 1.0.0.0. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not visit non-trusted websites or disable active scripting.
