The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error in epi.dll when creating a log message and can be exploited via a specially crafted string e.g. assigned to the "AuthCredential" property of the "Aventail.EPInterrogator" control. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 10.0.5 (confirmed in 10.0.4.35) and in version 10.5.1 without the hotfix. SOLUTION: Update to version 10.0.5 and apply hotfix for version 10.5.1.
