DESCRIPTION:
Tanya Secker has discovered a vulnerability in Scrutinizer NetFlow
and sFlow Analyzer, which can be exploited by malicious people to
bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application not validating
certain requests sent to cgi-bin/admin.cgi and can be exploited to
create an arbitrary user with administrative privileges.
Note: This can further be exploited to perform script insertion
attacks via the "newUser" parameter.
This is caused due to an incomplete fix for vulnerability #1 in:
SA48761
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 9.0.1.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only.
