DESCRIPTION:
Red Hat has issued an update for the kernel. This fixes a
vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to
cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to the "rio_ioctl()" function within
the dl2k driver (drivers/net/ethernet/dlink/dl2k.c) not restricting
the SIOCSMIIREG IOCTL, which can be exploited to cause certain
network adapters to malfunction by sending specially crafted IOCTLs.

SOLUTION:
Updated packages are available via Red Hat Network.
