DESCRIPTION:
MustLive has reported a weakness and some vulnerabilities in IBM
Lotus Notes Traveler, which can be exploited by malicious people to
conduct spoofing and cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed via the "redirectURL" to servlet/traveler is not
properly verified before being used to redirect users. This can be
exploited to redirect a user to an arbitrary website e.g. when a user
clicks a specially crafted link to the affected script hosted on a
trusted domain.
2) Input passed via the "userId" and "address" parameters to
/traveler/ILNT.mobileconfig is not properly sanitised before being
returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML
and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.
The weakness and the vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior
to 8.5.3 Fix Pack 2.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 8.5.3 Fix Pack 2.
