DESCRIPTION:
rgod has discovered a vulnerability in Linpha, which can be exploited
by malicious people to disclose sensitive information and potentially
to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed to the "lang" parameter in docs/index.php isn't properly
verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to
include arbitrary files from local resources. If the Logger plugin is
enabled and user login events are logged to a file, then it is
possible to execute arbitrary PHP code by inserting PHP code in the
username that is logged to the file.
Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions
may also be affected.
Note: It has also been reported that local file inclusion
vulnerabilities also exists in the installation scripts. The vendor
has recommended that such scripts be removed after installation is
complete.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
