DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Linux Kernel, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an out-of-bounds memory error in
the "fill_write_buffer()" function in sysfs/file.c when writing
exactly PAGE_SIZE amount of data with no zeroes in it to a sysfs
file.
SOLUTION:
The vulnerability has been fixed in version 2.6.17-rc1.
