TITLE:
BestWebApp Dating Site Cross-Site Scripting and SQL Injection

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA23017

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/23017/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
BestWebApp Dating Site
http://secunia.com/product/12678/

DESCRIPTION:
Laurent Gaffié and Benjamin Mossé have reported some vulnerabilities
in BestWebApp Dating Site, which can be exploited by malicious people
to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "msg" parameter in login_form.asp is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of affected site.

2)Input passed to the "Username" and "Password" form field parameters
when logging in is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL
queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation can allow an attacker to bypass
authentication.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
