DESCRIPTION:
Sun has acknowledged a vulnerability in Sun Solaris, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to unspecified errors in the HID
(Human Interface Device) class driver. This can be exploited to cause
a system panic.

The vulnerability is reported in Sun Solaris 8, 9, and 10 for the
SPARC platform and in Sun Solaris 9 and 10 for the x86 platform.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches.

Solaris 8:
Apply patch 109896-35 or later.

Solaris 9:
Apply patch 115553-28 or later.

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 125123-01 or later.

-- x86 Platform --

Solaris 9:
Apply patch 115554-24 or later.

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 125124-01 or later.
