DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in HP Select Identify, which can be
exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error and can be
exploited to gain unauthorized access to certain unspecified
facilities. No further information is available.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 4.01.011 and
4.13.002 running on Windows 2003 Server, Red Hat Linux AS3, Solaris,
and HP-UX.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches (contact HP support).

HP Select Identify v4.01 running on Windows 2003 Server, Red Hat
Linux AS3, Solaris, and HP-UX:
Apply v4.01.011 patch.

HP Select Identify v4.1x running on Windows 2003 Server, Red Hat
Linux AS3, Solaris, and HP-UX:
Apply v4.13.002 patch.
