DESCRIPTION:
Krystian Kloskowski has discovered a vulnerability in jetAudio, which
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
.M3U files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow via a specially-crafted .M3U file containing an overly-long
(greater than 1024 bytes) URL as the file name.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 7.0.3. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted .M3U files.
