DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in xine-lib, which can
potentially be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
"open_flac_file()" function in src/demuxers/demux_flac.c. This can be
exploited to corrupt memory via a specially crafted FLAC file.
This is related to vulnerability #1 in:
SA28779
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.1.10. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not process untrusted FLAC files.
