DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Article Publisher Pro,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
attacks.
1) Input passed to the "userid" parameter in contact_author.php is
not properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed via the "username" parameter in admin/admin.php is
not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows bypassing the authentication mechanism
and gaining access to the administrative user interface.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.5. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
