DESCRIPTION:
bruiser has discovered a vulnerability in ooVoo, which potentially
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
handling of command line arguments. This can be exploited to cause a
stack-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into visiting a
malicious web site, which passes an overly long string to the
"ooVoo:" URI handler.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in versions 1.7.1.35 and 1.7.1.57.
Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not follow untrusted links or browse untrusted websites.
