DESCRIPTION:
gmar has reported a vulnerability in Banner Student, which can be
exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed to the "question" parameter when editing the security
question is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be
exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session when the malicious data is
viewed.
The vulnerability is reported in version 7.4. Other versions may also
be affected.
SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a web proxy.
