TITLE:
DB Top Sites Multiple Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35419

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35419/

DESCRIPTION:
SirGod has discovered some vulnerabilities in DB Top Sites, which can
be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information or
compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "u" parameter in full.php, index.php, and
contact.php is not properly verified before being used to include
files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local
resources via directory traversal attacks and URL-encoded NULL
bytes.

NOTE: Other scripts may also be affected.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.

2) The add_reg.php script creates arbitrary PHP files containing the
values of received parameters. This can be exploited to inject and
execute arbitrary PHP code via e.g. a specially crafted "location"
parameter.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.

Restrict access to the add_reg.php script (e.g. via .htaccess).
