SA36427
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/36427/
DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in the ScribeFire extension for
Firefox, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
user's system.
Input passed via "img" tags is not properly sanitised before being
used when images are dragged into the editing window. This can be
exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary script code within the "chrome:"
context and execute arbitrary commands on a user's system.
Successful exploitation requires that a user e.g. drags an image from
a specially crafted web page into the editing window.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.4.1. Prior versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.4.2 or later.
