DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in the Wikipedia Toolbar
extension for Firefox, which can be exploited by malicious people to
compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application using invalidated
input in a call to "eval()". This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary Javascript code in "chrome:" context.
Successful exploitation requires that a user is tricked into using
certain Toolbar buttons when visiting a specially crafted web page.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.5.9. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Fixed in version 0.5.9.2 (experimental) by restricting the attack
vector to "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/".
