VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/39831/
DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in LinPHA, which can be exploited
by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed via the "rotate" parameter in actions/rotate.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in a call to "exec()". This can
be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands via a
specially crafted HTTP request.
Successful exploitation requires that "image rotation" is enabled in
the "Feature" settings.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.3.4. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Grant only trusted users access to the application or edit the source
code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Incorrectly reported for the "full_convert_path" parameter by
Sn!pEr.S!Te Hacker.
