TITLE:
CMSQlite SQL Injection and Local File Inclusion Vulnerabilities
SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA39840
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/39840/
DESCRIPTION:
Stefan Esser has discovered some vulnerabilities in CMSQlite, which
can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks
and disclose sensitive information.
1) Input passed to the "c" parameter in index.php is not properly
sanitised before being used in SQL queries in
class/class.HTMLEngine.php. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL
queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed to the "mod" parameter in index.php is not properly
sanitised before being used to include files. This can be exploited
to include arbitrary files from local resources via directory
traversal sequences and URL-encoded NULL bytes.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that
"magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and
verified.
