DESCRIPTION:
Rad L. Sneak has discovered a weakness in Dell OpenManage, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct spoofing attacks.
Input passed via the "file" parameter to servlet/HelpViewer is not
properly verified before being used to redirect users. This can be
exploited to redirect a user to an arbitrary website when e.g.
clicking a specially crafted link to an affected script hosted on a
trusted domain.
The weakness is confirmed in version 6.2.0 and reported in versions
5.5.x. Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a proxy.
