DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in OpenSSL, which potentially
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise an application
using the library or to conduct spoofing attacks.
1) An error when handling CMS (Cryptographic Message Syntax)
structures can be exploited to potentially execute arbitrary code.
For more information:
SA40000
2) An uninitialised buffer is returned instead of an error code when
the verification recovery process fails. This can be exploited to
potentially bypass key validation in applications using
"EVP_PKEY_verify_recover()".
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.0.0.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.0.0a.
