DESCRIPTION:
Red Hat has issued an update for perl. This fixes two security
issues, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain
security restrictions.
1) The Safe module does not properly restrict code of implicitly
called methods (e.g. "destroy" and "autoload"), which can be
exploited to bypass Safe module restrictions and execute arbitrary
perl code outside of a Safe compartment.
2) The Safe module does not properly restrict code in a Safe
compartment which is executed out of the compartment via a subroutine
reference. This can be exploited to bypass Safe module restrictions
and execute arbitrary perl code outside of a Safe compartment.
SOLUTION:
Updated packages are available via Red Hat Network.
