DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Open&Compact Ftp Server
(Open-FTPD), which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass
certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to access not being restricted to
various FTP commands before a user is properly authenticated. This
can be exploited to execute FTP commands without any authentication.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Use a firewall to restrict access to trusted systems only.
