DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Mac OS X, which can be exploited
by malicious people to potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error when
handling distribution scripts during Software Update checks and can
be exploited to corrupt memory.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code, but
requires that it's possible to intercept traffic e.g. via
Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 10.6 through 10.6.5 of Mac
OS X and Mac OS X Server.
SOLUTION:
Apply 10.6.6 updates.
